Comments: I am a former carpenter and even I am overwhelmed at the task at hand! This kitchen exemplifies poor craftsmanship and dates back, quite possibly to its birth, 1947 - we have no evidence that this kitchen has EVER been remodeled - except for the lovely mandarin-orange counter tops that look to be from the 60s or 70s! There are only 2 drawers in the ENTIRE kitchen - only 1 of which is functioning, the cabinets are poorly made, ply-wood (and I mean this in the literal sheet-of-plywood-cut into rectangles kind of way!) and are falling off, won't open, or are non- existent. We have holes in the wall that have been "cleverly" covered by jars, utensils and "wall decor" for more than 2 decades. One pane of glass in 1 of the display cupboards had been broken and shatterd since BEFORE our family purchased the home. The flooring is peeling up in every direction, there are NO GFI outlets whatsoever, if more than one appliance is running at any given time, the entire kitchen blows and shuts down. My home is a unique craftsman located in historical South Addition, Anchorage....... the CONSTITUTION of Alaska was drafted secretly in THIS basement! Please HELP us bring this historical home into its FULL potential!.
