Jason Sadlowski

Jason has been working in the asphalt and paving business since 1991. He has worked for GMG General, Quality Asphalt Paving (QAP), International Bridge Corporation, and now as part owner in Pioneer Peak Asphalt. All of Jason's paving and asphalt experience has been in Alaska. He has been involved in every phase of the business from patching to repaving to new pavement projects. Some of the projects that he has been in charge of include the Municipality of Anchorage (MOA), Alaska Communications Systems (ACS), Alaska Waster Water Utility (AWWU), Chugach Electric, and AlCan Electric. He has worked on the crews as an asphalt raker, as a paver and screed operator. He has been a paving foreman for QAP.

During the off season, Jason has been on a crew that traveled to Wake Island in the South Pacific, to rip out and re-pave the airport runway. There he ran the loader to unload gravel from barges and ships.

Don McVey

Don has been working in the asphalt paving trade since 1984. He has worked as an equipment operator and was responsible for preparing underlayment and finish grade for asphalt. He has also subcontracted his services to Goldmine Grading Company as a finish grade operator to Rasco, Inc. and other asphalt companies. In 1988, Don and a partner started GMG General, Inc. They worked with a patch truck, dump truck, and hand tools.

He has been involved in projects for driveways, small parking lots, patchwork, snow removal, and more.

Don worked as a superintendant with GMG General, Inc. and as a finish grade operator for large grading projects as well as all the other asphalt paving work done by the company. In January 2009, Don combined his skills and talents with those of Jason's to form Pioneer Peak Asphalt Services, LLC. They provide patching and paving services for residential and commercial customers, and they bid on large utility contracts.
